Aaron Swain

Education
Senior Associate Aaron Swain was project manager during design of Solis, Weber Thompson’s Certified Passive House project in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Aaron Swain is currently the project manager overseeing construction of the 28-story Waverly Apartments Tower in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.


Alison Waldsmith

Education
Alison Waldsmith earned her Bachelor and then Master of Architecture, and worked in several architecture firms in Alaska and Washington before coming to Weber Thompson in 2014. She’s currently working on Orenda, an affordable housing project in the Othello Square community.


Amanda Keating

Education
Senior Principal Amanda Keating bridges the gap between aesthetic judgment and technical understanding. At Weber Thompson, she manages the design, documentation and construction administration of large-scale, mixed use projects with the firm’s mid-rise and high-rise groups. Amanda is renowned for her thoughtful, even-keeled approach and calm management style.


Austin Besse

Education
Joining Weber Thompson from New York City, Austin Besse is a designer with a wealth of experience ranging from high-rise residential and hospitality design to high-end residential work for private clients. As a graduate from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Architecture, part of Austin’s design process and focus lie in the emphasis of design and technology, communicating each project’s ideas through strong visual graphics.


Bernadette Kelly

Education
Interior Design Principal Bernadette Kelly has over 20 years of experience in interior and architectural design for projects all over the country and China, from commercial office tenant improvements to hospitality and residential design. She joined Weber Thompson in 2012, helping the Interior Design studio grow in size and reputation during the subsequent years. In 2016, she was promoted to Principal.


Blaine Weber

Senior Principal
Blaine is a passionate evangelist for urban living and the design and development of high-rise residential and mixed-use towers, and he is a published author of numerous local and national articles on the subject. His passion for re-invention is nourished by incessant participation in many forums for innovation and ideas. In 2006, Seattle Magazine selected Mr. Weber as: “One of 18 City Shapers, key players that are creating a new Emerald City”.


Bradford Untereker
Education
Bradford started with Weber Thompson as an intern in 2014 while he was attending the UW Master of Architecture program. He recently joined WT full time as a job captain where he mixes his keen eye for design and problem-solving skills on a variety of multifamily residential projects. Bradford is inspired by the thoughtfulness behind each project and its ability to tell a great story through exceptional design.


Brian Steinburg

Since 2000, Brian has been involved in the design, documentation and management of urban high-rise and mid-rise projects at Weber Thompson. As a Principal, Brian manages large, complex, multi-year projects from pre-design to construction administration.


Brittany Porter

Education
Brittany came to the Northwest eager to participate in Seattle’s booming urban-infill development and progressive building culture. She is passionate about creating places in which people thrive while consuming less. With experience in energy-efficient, urban-infill projects, she is excited to be a member of the commercial office studio.
She is a frequent speaker on sustainable design principles, a certified Passive House consultant, and serves as on the Board of Director for Passive House Northwest. Brittany is also the Young Architects Regional Director for the AIA Northwest & Pacific Region.


Burton Yuen

Detail oriented and highly organized, Burton Yuen is a crucial member of Weber Thompson’s landscape architecture design studio. With over 26 years of experience in Idaho and Seattle, he’s worked on a wide variety of project types ranging from affordable housing to office campuses for technology clients.
His other passion is scenic design, which he does on a recurrent basis for the Seattle Theater Company.


Carol Sanders

Education
Carol has been Weber Thompson’s admin guru since 1997. She is in charge of benefits administration, processing payroll as well as accounts payable, issuing client billings and all of those miscellaneous extras that arise. A calm, thorough approach gives Carol the ability to maneuver easily through the complexities of all these areas, and she enjoys working with staff, vendors and clients.


Chelsea Gorkiewicz

One might say that Associate Chelsea Gorkiewicz is a free spirit, except for the fact that she’s an extremely focused, hard worker with laser-sharp attention to detail when she’s in the office. It’s outside of the office, on evenings, weekends and week-long trips that she really starts to let loose. Whether it is learning to play the accordion, exploring the vibrant music scene in Seattle, or volunteering, she’s bound to be up to something interesting.


Chris Golden

A Senior Associate and project manager at Weber Thompson, Chris continues to further his more than 35 years of experience in design, drafting and construction documentation and administration through an unprecedented professional process. He’s worked with a wide range of project types, including commercial tenant improvements, large mixed-use condominium and apartment projects, commercial retail, and mid- and high-rise structures.


Cody Lodi

Education
Joining Weber Thompson in 2012, Cody quickly established himself on the firm’s mid-rise, mixed-use team providing design leadership and a creative, collaborative dialogue. He has over 15 years of experience working on a variety of projects ranging from single-family, midrise and high rise residential mixed-use developments to retail and commercial office projects. He is currently a thought leader and design lead in the commercial office studio.


David Burpee

A passion for science, technology, and art paved the way for David’s career in architecture. Joining the Weber Thompson high-rise team in the spring of 2017, David enjoys the day-to-day task of design and how it can influence an environment. With high-rise project experience from all over the world including China, Indonesia and the Philippines, he understands that the relationship between technology and architecture can combine to create a building that has the potential to drastically impact a city’s skyline.


Elise Stephenson

As Weber Thompson’s Front Desk Administrator, Elise is best described as a cool, calm and collected presence at the front desk. Whether she is directing visitors to their conference rooms, making sure our office is fully supplied, helping with accounts payable tasks, or lending a helping hand to anyone in the office who may need it, Elise’s dependable nature helps keep the office functioning day-to-day.


Elizabeth Holland

The nexus of where the operations of all departments converge, Elizabeth spends her days answering questions, dealing with challenges, focusing staff on priorities and answering more questions. It is a testament to her good nature that she actually enjoys this.
Elizabeth’s variety of roles at Weber Thompson keeps her involved in every project designed, her favorite being The Terry Thomas. With it from beginning to end, Elizabeth’s major role was strategizing the project from an operational viewpoint, supplying the team with a thorough analysis and engaging a PR firm and the press to promote the internationally award-winning building.

A licensed architect at Weber Thompson since 2012, Emily’s technical, artistic and detail-oriented work method has made her a dynamic and valued team member.
Highly active in the community, Emily co-chairs the AIA Seattle Women in Design committee. She is passionate about encouraging young women to pursue technical fields and champions a workplace culture that supports diversity.

Emily believes housing is a basic human right. As an architect, this has drawn her to clients and projects that pursue affordable and equitable housing whenever possible.
She has a passion for high performance buildings and attained her Certified Passive House Design credential in 2017.


Eric Smith

Eric joined Weber Thompson in the summer of 2019 bringing a diverse range of experience that includes high rise, mixed-use, commercial office, and K-12 projects. He is one of WT’s office BIM managers and helps coordinate MUP and building permit sets.


Erik Doran

Erik Doran still remembers walking down the corridors of the architecture office where his mother worked when he was a child in Alaska. Walking amongst the drawings and models, he knew that he needed to become an architect. For Erik, it is the process of deconstructing a building into tiny details that really excites him. He believes that the overall aesthetic is important, but the details make it special.

Erik wasted no time launching his career in architecture – he began interning at a firm when he was just a junior in high school. Since then he has spent the last fifteen years gaining a variety of experience in multifamily, retail and most prominently, k-12 projects.
Taking the diverse challenges that architecture can present and synthesizing them into a cohesive, beautiful and functional design is what motivates Erik, and it’s one of his biggest strengths that he brings to all of his projects.

Combining a love of marketing and communication, a degree in Interior Architecture and a passion for photography, Erin continues to surprise Weber Thompson with her hidden depths. As our Marketing Director and resident photographer, she is intimately involved in every project in the office from early conception until well beyond completion.


Fanny Idoux

Designing spaces that evoke specific feelings or create experiences inspires Fanny. She applies this philosophy and a love of working with space, materials and especially color to hospitality focused architectural and interior design projects.
A lover of sports – named ‘most inspirational’ on WT’s volleyball team – Fanny also holds a blue belt in karate, the result of years of hard work and practice.


Gerald Heizelman

Drawing on the interest sparked from his first drafting class in high school, Gerald has over 30 years of experience in mid-rise, high-rise, site planning and retail projects. At Weber Thompson he is a member of the high-rise documentation team working on projects such as Cirrus, AVA and Viktoria.


Gloria Mah
Education
Gloria Mah’s specialty is in residential high-rise architecture with a background in transit and urban design. She is a multifaceted designer who uses her passion for interdisciplinary thinking and collaboration to create well-researched solutions that have a positive impact for its users. Prior to joining Weber Thompson, Gloria worked on transit-oriented development in San Francisco and design competitions internationally.


Jack Himmelheber

After joining Weber Thompson’s high rise team, Jack quickly established himself as an architecture and graphic design powerhouse, ushering through the design of Seattle’s Stratus before launching a two tower project in Bellevue. Both of these projects have an added attractive value for Jack – he can easily visit them.


Jason Hanner

Jason Hanner is a master of solving puzzles. Whether it is a detail he is drafting for a building, creating his own physical building models or working on his latest motorcycle – a puzzle is what draws him into a project. Since joining Weber Thompson in 1999, Jason has solved a lot of puzzles.
A graduate from the University of Washington where he earned his Masters in Architecture, Jason was first introduced to the world of architecture and design in his 9th grade drafting class. He has over 20 years of experience in mixed use and student housing in all phases from SD to CA.


Jeff Dobbs

Senior Associate Jeff Dobbs is Weber Thompson’s go to guy for any exterior detailing questions. But Jeff is more than exterior details. Since joining the firm in 2004, he has worked in a variety of roles, from Project Management, Quality Assurance, Technical Documentation and Construction Administration.

For over 25 years, Jeff has been working in the Seattle area with a focus on residential design. He has a particular interest in working with senior and affordable housing developers and organizations to help them maximize their financial capabilities and turn them into safe, healthy affordable homes.

After completing two summer internships at Weber Thompson and receiving a Master of Architecture and Certificate of Urban Design from the University of Washington, Jiao Mei returned to the firm as a full-time employee in the spring of 2020. Her keen graphic sensibility, dedication to sustainability, and collaborative attitude have quickly made her an integral member of the firm.


Jill Myers

Jill brings an enthusiasm for design and a wide range of hospitality and residential experience to Weber Thompson’s Interior Design team. Her work has included a variety of luxury hotels and casinos around the globe, as well as unique amenity and living spaces in multifamily developments. In addition to drawing on her creative design strategies, Jill employs strong project management skills on every project she works on.


Jim Westcott

Weber Thompson’s master high-rise Project Manager, Jim Westcott has led numerous complex projects in the Pacific Northwest, including Nexus, The Premiere on Pine, Madison Tower/Hotel 1000 and LUMA. His responsibilities range from design and project management to construction administration with extensive practice in mid-rise and high-rise residential, mixed-use urban infill and retail, and commercial and cultural projects.


Johanna Lirman

Joining Weber Thompson at the beginning of 2020, Johanna began working with the affordable housing team. Having the opportunity to help build strong, inclusive communities is one of her favorite aspects of her job.

His passions lie in the construction side of architecture, managing projects and bringing together all parties to achieve a successful result. When approaching any project, John brings to the table his calm demeanor and ability to see the whole picture.

John brings an in-depth knowledge of design technology, energy modeling, and rendering technology into his role as a designer at Weber Thompson. Starting his path in engineering at the University of Washington, he quickly transitioned to architecture to pursue the purity of design and complexity of problem solving involved in the profession.

An Associate at Weber Thompson, Joe has ushered multiple mid-rise, mixed-use projects from initial feasibility and yield analysis through construction since joining the firm in 1998. On each project, Joe balances a high aesthetic eye with a task-oriented approach resulting in projects that are well received by clients, municipalities and the public. He brings over 20 years of experience in corporate, hospitality, retail and residential mixed-use projects to the table.

Kristen Scott is Managing Partner and Senior Principal of Weber Thompson where she heads the commercial office design team. As Managing Partner of Weber Thompson for more than 20 years, she has overseen the growth of the firm from its beginnings to the sustainably focused 70 person multi-disciplinary firm it is today.

Laurie Allison Wilson is a project manager in Weber Thompson’s affordable housing studio. A licensed architect with over 30 years professional experience in Seattle and San Francisco, Laurie is fiercely passionate about creative placemaking and honoring the communities each building serves. She has extensive experience in affordable housing and multifamily projects.


Leslie Riibe

Education
Leslie joined Weber Thompson with a wealth of experience designing visual identities and marketing assets for artists, non-profit organizations and local businesses that include Tom Douglas Restaurants and the Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest. She brings her experience to bear on many of the projects in the office, from visual design to signage on projects such as Ascent and Marlowe.


Lisa Kim Bartin

Lisa’s career has been an exercise in building metaphorical bridges. Between Interior Design, Master Planning and Architecture, Lisa relishes being the intersection of these different disciplines, weaving them in and out to create a fully integrated whole.

A California native, Lissa lived in different cities around the world before landing in Seattle in 2012 to attend the University of Washington Master of Architecture program. Joining Weber Thompson’s Interior Design team with a background in architecture, she also brings expertise in ADA and accessibility guidelines. With her architectural background, skillful hand-sketched unit layouts, and passion for colors and materials she adds a dynamic combo of technical knowledge and creativity to the team.


Maggie Carson

Maggie sees the built environment as a way to enhance people’s quality of life. She has over 15 years of experience creating spaces that range from retail and large international mixed-use projects to affordable and market rate residential. She has a passion for complex projects and loves working with clients to bring each unique vision to life.


Marc Furst

Knowing how a building is put together in a technical sense, and with a design-conscious eye, describes Associate Marc’s skills to a T. He has developed this balance through his work on a wide variety of projects including single family estates, commercial office projects, department of defense structures, tenant improvements and high-rise, mid-rise and multi-family housing projects.


Mariah Marshall

A Wisconsin native who recently relocated to Seattle from Oregon, Mariah is the newest member of Weber Thompson’s high-rise studio. She brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of high-rise design ranging from project management to ensuring QA/QC is in order. For Mariah, being able to see a project come to life is a rewarding experience that motivates her daily.


Mark Dorsey

Mark Dorsey is a Project Architect at Weber Thompson. He joined the team in 2016 and immediately became an invaluable member of the Commercial Office Studio. A team player who loves the collaborative nature of the firm, he approaches each new problem with a positive attitude and a willingness to dive deep to find the best possible solution. He’s been putting this skill to work as a member of the Watershed Project Team, a mixed-use commercial office that is pursuing the Living Building Pilot Program.


Michelle Lewandowski

Architecture has been a presence in Michelle life since she was small. Be it Lego’s or puzzles; she has always been drawn to the highly analytical and problem solving nature of architecture. Growing up in Austin, Michelle attended the University of Texas at Austin for her degree, then followed friends to Seattle after acclimating to the climate through an internship in Vancouver, B.C.


Mily Keith

Mily Keith is a member of the firm’s high rise studio with a passion for sustainability and creating healthy homes for people of all types.
Throughout her career she’s worked in a variety of firms and roles spanning urban planning, municipal work, neighborhood revitalization and assisted living and memory care facilities in the United States and her native Peru. She received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Chiclayo in Lamgayeque, Peru.


Monica Knapp

Monica Knapp arrived at Weber Thompson in 2007 with a background in Museum Collections Curating / Art Handling and Marketing. In 2011, she joined the Interior Design team and has since worked on a multitude of diverse projects, her favorite thus far being Stratus, a high-rise in Seattle’s Denny Triangle neighborhood.

Education
Myer Harrell, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Homes is a Principal and Director of Sustainability at Weber Thompson. He believes in the power of design to promote a sustainable future and manages the firm’s initiatives to that end.
Myer focuses on urban infill mid-rise, mixed use multifamily and boutique-scale commercial office construction.


Neha Goel

Education
Neha believes a good responsive design is inherently responsible sustainable design. Sustainability is not an add-on; it is an integral part of everything from what we do as professionals to the way we dispose of our own trash. Her background in a resource constrained environment, where sustainability is a means of survival, permeates her design approach- low tech, passive and contextual in nature.


Nicole Winn

Since 1997, Nicole has worked on a wide variety of projects throughout the office. Her belief that good design comes from a solidified work method combined with continuing education led her to become part of Weber Thompson’s first wave of LEED APs and a member of the team that originated Weber Thompson’s sustainable design initiatives.

A creative soul with a passion for detail-oriented projects, Associate Noelle Galicia joined Weber Thompson’s mid rise studio in 2013 launching immediately on to the four building Westlake Steps project. Her technical savvy and high attention to detail has been a major asset to the team.


Rachael Bauer

Joining Weber Thompson in 2011, Senior Associate Rachael Bauer works as part of the Interior Design Group on a variety of mixed-use, multifamily buildings and commercial projects. Each year with every new project, Rachael expands her design aesthetic, turning spaces into a unique vision to best fit each client.


Rachael Meyer

Landscape Architecture Principal
Education
Rachael Meyer leads Weber Thompson’s Landscape Architecture Studio with extensive experience in commercial, residential, and public projects. She is a critical team member early in projects to help build consensus amongst clients, consultants and other key stakeholders.
Rachael is a leader in the design of green stormwater infrastructure in the region, as well as the design of green roofs, urban agriculture and sustainable strategies.


Rick Nishino

Education
It is hard to overstate Rick’s importance to Weber Thompson. When he joined the firm in 1998 he brought extensive knowledge of construction administration and has developed CA into a core area of practice for the firm. Rick is the point person on CA for nearly all of the firm’s projects, oversees building code analysis, technical issues and quality assurance, and is the man everyone goes to with their construction questions. As a graduate from Washington State University where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture, Rick integrates his analytical mind and creativity into an array of areas.


Sabina Fiore

For Sabina, the process of designing beautiful, functional environments that people can call home is what inspires her. She has over a decade of experience working on residential projects that range from single-family homes to high-rise multifamily units. Her versatile background in both architecture and interior design gives her a unique perspective on how people use the space around them. Working closely with Weber Thompson’s interior and high-rise design teams, she uses her creative skillset on some of WT’s largest projects.


Sam Castro

Sam Castro is a BIM Specialist and Architectural Designer excited to rejoin the Weber Thompson team after ten years away. He is engaged in facilitating the evolution from digital drafting boards to BIM (Building Information Modeling) and the collaborative ecosystem that allows for.


Scott Thompson

Senior Principal, Retired
Scott Thompson passed away December 12th, 2017 after a long fight with cancer. We remember him as a great mentor and good friend, who cared deeply about the people at Weber Thompson, and made sure that everyone who worked for him had their contributions and worth acknowledged and celebrated before his own. He will be missed.
A Founding Principal at Weber Thompson, Scott Thompson retired at the end of 2015 with over 35 years of architectural and planning experience, specializing in high-density, urban infill and mixed-use buildings. He also worked on commercial structures, planned-unit developments, high-end condominiums, multifamily housing, hospitality projects, health clubs and custom single-family residences during his career.


Shoshanah Haberman
Education
After starting her career as a Middle East Analyst for the Department of Defense, Shoshanah sought a field where she could explore her creativity and connect with the outdoors. Landscape Architecture was an obvious answer for her, and she hasn’t looked back since.


Skye Bredberg

Education
After earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in architecture, Skye Bedberg went on to work in retail design, multifamily, healthcare and office TIs. In 2014, she made the move to Weber Thompson because of the firm’s esteemed roster of multifamily projects, and to utilize her experience with feasibility studies, zoning, code, and site analysis work. She delights in untangling the web of codes – from zoning to building to accessibility – that govern the way buildings go together.


Stephanie Farrell

Stephanie Farrell’s previous career in mechanical engineering has given her a solid platform in spatial reasoning and technical know-how. Working at IBM in product manufacturing and later in technical sales at General Electric, Stephanie felt fulfilled but was never entirely passionate about the products she was designing and selling. So in 2013 she jumped ship and dove into the Master of Architecture program at UW, eager to follow her original dream of becoming an architect.


Stuart Herrera-Enzuate

Stuart joined Weber Thompson in 2012 as a project manager working on large mid-rise and high rise projects. He brought over a decade of experience working mostly on large commercial buildings, retail tenant improvements, college laboratories and facilities for the United States Forest Service.


Susan Frieson

Education
As part of WT’s residential high rise team, Susan draws on a wide variety of previous firm experience. Two of her favorite projects bookend the gambit of options – one a LEED Platinum Inn & Spa in Yountville, CA; the other the Permanent International Terminal at O’Hare airport. Both projects were marked by high levels of collaboration and acted as a great learning experience.
Susan is an active member / volunteer with AIA Seattle, especially with the Diversity Roundtable Committee which advocates for underrepresented groups and women in the architecture profession.


Tanya Kataria
WELL AP, LEED® Green Assoc.
Education
Pursuing a degree in architecture was a natural choice for Tanya. Born and raised in India, she grew up admiring forts, tombs and minarets of the Mughal architecture and grand buildings of the Colonial era.
In addition to being a LEED Green Associate, Tanya is a WELL Building certified Accredited Professional, a standard that focuses on the impact of a building on human health and wellness. If not already evident, sustainability is one of Tanya’s core passions and she seeks to integrate sustainable strategies into her projects whenever possible.


Temyka Boots

From Australia to Europe, to Asia and the Middle East, Temyka joins Weber Thompson after spending most of her life travelling and experiencing cultures from all over the world. Inspired by her surroundings, she knew from a young age that she wanted to become an architect. Her experience as a world traveler has fueled the passion and creativity towards her career – allowing her to adopt a unique approach to design thinking.

Joining the firm in the spring of 2020, she has yet to meet many of her teammates in person. That hasn’t stopped her from jumping into her work on 800 Stewart with both feet. As an architectural detailer she works closely with the rest of the design and detailing team to breathe life into this 600’ faceted sculptural tower that is slated to begin construction in 2021.

Principal Todd Mayne is a Project Manager at Weber Thompson specializing in construction administration and quality assurance. His professional interests and passions include building technology and the process of bringing a project from concept to completion.


Tom Geeslin

Education
Originally from Texas, Tom joined WT in 2019 as one of the most enthusiastic and energetic team members to join the firm. His positive attitude and swift adaptability through the design process is one of Tom’s greatest strengths that he brings to every project. He is currently working on the Trailside Phase 2 Student Housing project where he brings his high-energy, innovative ideas and efficient workflow to the team.


Vy Dang
Education
Before officially joining the firm’s Interior Design Studio, Vy was an intern while earning her Bachelor of Interior Design from Washington State University. She worked on maintaining the robust materials library, a task which educated her about working with product vendors and advocating for healthier materials.
