John brings an in-depth knowledge of design technology, energy modeling, and rendering technology into his role as a designer at Weber Thompson. Starting his path in engineering at the University of Washington, he quickly transitioned to architecture to pursue the purity of design and complexity of problem solving involved in the profession.

After school he worked on large scale mixed-use developments and retail centers in China for five years before transitioning to Weber Thompson to focus on the intricacy of high-rise residential and mixed-use projects in more detail. As the project designer on the 970 Denny and Nexus projects, his dedication to detail and admiration from clients sped the projects through design review and into construction. He is also a core member of the Weber Thompson Sustainabiliteam and was a member of the award-winning UCSF Net Zero Energy Student Housing competition team.

When not glued to his computer, he can be found contemplating the logic of Seahawks play calls or getting away from it all in the mountains.
