Growing up in big cities admiring the tall towers surrounding her, it was a natural fit for Melissa to go into high-rise design. She enjoys the early design process, being a big-picture problem solver, and seeing how the client’s vision comes to life throughout the design process. Melissa has worked on high-rise design for the past 12 years in various cities such as Boston, Miami, New York, and now Seattle.

Melissa is currently the Senior Project Architect on Fujimatsu Village, a 26-story, high-rise residential tower in the Chinatown-International District, where she is managing the permitting documents and collaborating on the design process.

When she’s not designing tall buildings, Melissa spends her time listening to podcasts, hiking with her cats, and training for marathons. She’s completed two of the six World Major Marathons and planning to complete her third this year!
