Judges for the 2022 NAIOP Night of the Stars program have selected the new student housing tower, The Accolade as the recipient of the ‘Student Housing Development of the Year’ award. The Accolade is located in the University District neighborhood of Seattle and was developed by Greystar, designed by Weber Thompson, and built by Exxel Pacific.

The Accolade is a 21-story “pedestrian to campus” high-rise for University of Washington students to call home. Inspired by columnar basalt in volcanic formations, its gold accented façade delivers a vibrant aesthetic to University District’s evolving skyline.

Rising above “dorm life,” the Accolade’s extensive amenities rival luxury apartments with 5,000 square feet of outdoor space, rock-climbing walls, and more – two blocks from campus.

Winning Night of the Stars projects were judged by a panel of real estate professionals and were evaluated based on impact on the community, market adaptability, sustainability, ingenuity and local contributions. NAIOP Washington State is a trade association for developers, owners and investors in the industrial, office and related commercial real estate industries.
