Two summers back, Mill Creek Residential announced the groundbreaking in Kirkland for its Modera Bridle Trails apartments. On the site of the former TechCity Bowl, at 13033 N.E. 70th Place, that project is done and now leasing its 369 units.
The large midrise building opened without fanfare; the leasing website has been active for months.
Acting as its own builder, working with architect Weber Tompson, Mill Creek’s goal was to open this summer. For an over 580,000-square-foot project, that’s a tight, two-year schedule successfully met. LEED Platinum certification is being sought for a building to be powered entirely by electricity.
Weber Thompson also designed the landscaping and interiors. The latter are mean to convey “rustic elegance,” with “timber beams [that] emphasize the equestrian theme and add an organic warmth to interior spaces, reinforcing the overall concept.”
