Meet WT’s newly promoted Associates

Alyssa M. Mitchell AIA, NOMA

Alyssa joined us fresh from Carnegie Mellon University in 2022 and has been making a strong impact ever since. Now a licensed architect in Washington, she brings a deep passion for affordable housing and cultural architecture that supports and uplifts communities.

Alyssa participated in the first cohort of LeaderFlow, AIA’s Young Architect Forum, and now serves as Co-Chair of the AIA Seattle Diversity Roundtable. She is also active with NOMA NW’s Project Pipeline and plays a key role internally on both the EDI group and the Affordable Housing marketing group. A thoughtful and engaged team member, Alyssa takes time to listen, ask questions, and offer meaningful insights. She continues to take on new challenges in her work with curiosity, care, and a clear commitment to creating positive change through design.

 

Melissa Miranda RA

Melissa is a seasoned Senior Project Architect with a strong focus on high-rise residential and hospitality towers. She brings a well-rounded approach and sharp design sensibility to every project. A collaborative learner, Melissa is always seeking to deepen her understanding of high-rise design, both conceptually and technically.

She plays an active role in the industry as a Steering Committee Member for CTBUH’s Future Leaders Committee and leads WT’s annual Food Lifeline volunteer day, contributing to the broader Food Frenzy campaign. Known for her proactive mindset, Melissa anticipates challenges early and consistently delivers creative, practical solutions. She is a disciplined architect who excels at coordinating complex teams and aligning diverse consultants around thoughtful, efficient design.

 

Peter Tallar RA

Since joining Weber Thompson two years ago, Peter has brought steady leadership and versatility to a range of project types and jurisdictions.

As a core member of our Quality Management group, Peter is known for his technical rigor, precise redlining, and attention to detail. A dedicated mentor and reliable team lead, he helps projects move forward with clarity and momentum. Recently, he completed the UW Commercial Real Estate Certificate, deepening his understanding of development and expanding the value he brings to clients and teams.
