Tree Planting with Forterra to Offset Our 2021 Carbon Footprint

We had a great turnout for the 2022 Weber Thompson Tree Planting at Lake Stickney Park.

Last week we joined Forterra to participate in the Snohomish County Healthy Forest Project at Lake Stickney Park in Lynwood. We set out to offset Weber Thompson’s 2021 carbon footprint (95 tons) by planting at least 19 trees.

Fun fact: 1 tree can offset approximately 5 tons of carbon!

By the end of the day, nearly 50 trees found a new home in the park, thanks to our crew. Tending the land surrounding their new homes, we removed invasive plant species and cleaned up the area to give these conifers a solid foundation to grow.

Our team always has a lot of fun at these events. A big thank you to our partners at Forterra for hosting us!
