Groundwork underway on Holland’s 185-unit Fremont project

Project: Holland Fremont

Demolition of a few old Fremont buildings began soon after the May land sale at 452 N. 36th St., to builder/developer Holland Partner Group. A recent DJC visit found the grading and groundwork well underway, with Malcom Drilling deploying lots of big blue machinery for the shoring ahead. Dewatering tanks are parked along the curb (with the sidewalk still open to pedestrians).

Along with workers from Holland, crews from Geoengineers and shoring expert Ground Support were also on hand. The 185-unit midrise apartment project isn’t yet below grade, but some concrete is being pumped from trucks supplied by Heidelberg Materials.
