Peter Cromwell

ASLA

Peter’s work in WT’s Landscape Studio is shaped by a connection to nature that began long before his design career. A Pacific Northwest native, he spent much of his childhood exploring tidal flats, wandering through conifer forests, and skiing in the Cascades. Those formative experiences shaped his belief that the built environment should strengthen people’s relationship with nature. With a background in psychology, he brings a particular interest in how landscapes encourage both active and casual social interaction, and how thoughtful design can support individual and community well-being.

This perspective guides his work today. As part of the Landscape Studio, Peter contributes to a wide range of projects and is energized by the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the office while deepening his knowledge of urban green infrastructure.

Outside the studio, Peter enjoys a variety of hands-on crafts, including bookbinding, knitting, and board game design. He also loves cooking for friends and family, especially exploring the flavors of Indian cuisine.
