Red160 Under Construction

The Red160 project, for Equity Residential, is located in the historic district and downtown retail core of Redmond, Washington. The site serves as a link between the expanding urban core to the north and the former BNSF right-of-way, now a future bike trail and linear park, located directly south of the project.

The project consists of two buildings separated by an access drive that is designed to look and feel like a narrow public street. A public plaza marks the intersection of this drive with Cleveland Street and announces the entrance to the west building. The east building has a small entry plaza incised into the retail storefronts.

The two buildings total 250 residential units; each has five residential floors over a retail podium, sub-grade parking beneath and on a mezzanine tucked behind the over-height base. Prominent corners are marked by an urban building expression that rises straight up from the sidewalk, framing an extensively landscaped courtyard built on the roof of each podium. Each building features a range of amenity spaces including: a fitness facility, a resident lounge, a business center, and a resident theatre/game room.
