Talisman — Suncadia, WA
Talisman is a nine acre section of the 6,400 acre, Suncadia resort. Weber Thompson designed the neighborhood with two visions in mind – maximize the views and create an experience different from traditional neighborhoods. The planners oriented the neighborhood towards the views with a common green space separating the homes from the cars.
The architecture reflects nearby Roslyn with a mountain lodge/rustic aesthetic. Materials include lap siding, board and batten and shingle siding with strong timber and stone accents. The home types include clustered cottages and townhouses – some with first floor master bedrooms – and coach houses. The plan and architecture flew through the community's design review process on the first pass with glowing comments from the board about the design.
The developer is seeking 4-star Gold Certification through the King-Snohomish County Master Builders Built Green program.
