Joanna Luddy recently moved from New York to Seattle in search of a change of scenery and fresher air. She and her husband love being outdoors, whether camping, hiking or kayaking, so they are thrilled about the cross-country relocation.
While working in New York city Joanna developed a diverse background in high-end residential interiors, hospitality design and landscape design – including penthouses, hotels, intimate rooftops and public space master plans. Her passion for texture, color and spatial relationships is infused into each of her projects, but her technical precision is also razor sharp.
Joanna loves the challenge of creating functional spaces that meet the cultural and practical needs of the end user. For her, these restrictions define the precious realm where ideas can thrive and creativity can flourish. Additionally, her passion for sustainable design permeates her philosophy about the built environment and she makes a point of incorporating sustainable products and design solutions whenever possible.
Joanna is a core member of the Weber Thompson Sustainabiliteam and a member of the Healthy Materials Collective.
In addition to being outdoors, Joanna spends her free time cooking, socializing and participating in after-work activities like the Volleyball team. She knows some Spanish and French, speaks Greek fluently and travels as much as possible.
