Truly a Northwest dining experience, Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar - Seattle is the newest destination in the South Lake Union neighborhood for the hip, young professional crowd. Weber Thompson sought inspiration from the elements of earth and water to create an ambience that is distinctly Seattle. Gracefully curving walls nod to the nearby lake waters; circular ceiling clouds, carpet inspired by the ocean currents, and art glass wall panels subtly reinforce the land and sea. The arching, organic floor plan divides the space into four areas: the entry, the bar and raw bar, the dining area, and an intimate private dining room. Wood finishes and a curving upholstered banquette envelop patrons as they sit beneath small round glass pendant lights suggestive of glass floats. Throughout the main dining room, circular ceiling features and twinkling light fixtures float at varying heights while blown glass bulbs appear to bubble up to the ceiling from their base of low curving walls.
