This extended stay hotel will contain 300 keys, associated meeting rooms and dining facilities along with retail at the corner of Howell and Stewart. Structured parking will be provided below grade. All primary vehicular/pedestrian entry will be via a “Porte Cochère” accessed from Terry Ave in order to provide convenient, safe and direct access especially for guests.
The new building responds to the Terry Ave green street with an upper tower setback from the podium levels. This step back corresponds to the meeting room program for the hotel and will provide an active outdoor terrace space for hotel guests. The glassy corner is developed as a special signature element to provide a sense of place and to help establish an iconic, signature hotel address. The upper part of the tower will be highly visible from I-5 and is designed to complement existing context with a playful and thoughtfully crafted façade composed of off set architectural elements.
