Terry Thomas building wins national award
The Weber Thompson-designed Terry Thomas building – one of the Pacific Northwest's most environmentally sustainable buildings – won third place in Eco-structure Magazine's inaugural Evergreen Awards in the Ecommercial category. The building will be featured in the national magazine's October issue.
The award is one of several for the Terry Thomas.
Weber Thompson's office space in the building has been nominated for a Northwest Design Award. The Seattle Design Center sponsors the awards that will be presented Sept. 25.
In the Washington State Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties' (NAIOP) annual competition, the Terry Thomas is a finalist in three categories: Sustainable Development of the Year, Office Development of the Year under 250,000 square feet, and the Innovation Project of the Year. Winners will be announced Nov. 7.
"This is a great honor for the firm," said Scott E. Thompson, AIA, LEED AP, the principal in charge of the design team and development of the Terry Thomas. "The success of this building is due to the extrodinary commitment of the entire team. We are pleased that our peers and the press are recognizing it as such."
