Weber + Thompson Named One of Washington State's Best Places to Work
Architecture Firm Launches Employee
Video Contest to Complement the Honors
SEATTLE – Aug. 9, 2007 – Weber + Thompson, a full-service architecture, interior design and planning firm, has been named one of the Puget Sound region's best places to work. Weber + Thompson is the only architecture firm to be named to Seattle Business Monthly's June 2007 list of Best Places to Work. The Puget Sound Business Journal yesterday also named the company as one of Washington's Best Workplaces.
"To be named to one 'best places' list is a great honor. To make two publications' lists is doubly sweet," said Weber + Thompson principal Elizabeth Holland, LEED AP.
To celebrate the firm's designation as a Best Place to Work, Weber + Thompson launched its own W+TTube contest, inviting employees to produce creative YouTube-style videos highlighting why Weber + Thompson is a great place to work.
More than a quarter of the firm's employees worked together to create video entries for the first W+TTube contest, which will be an annual event. Employee-produced films ranged from photo collages set to music to videos about the homey atmosphere of the Weber + Thompson offices.
"The contest was a fun, team-building experience," said Holland. "It was the perfect way to allow employees to express what they like about working here, and do it as creatively as possible. The videos have been the buzz of the office ever since, and our already high morale has been pushed even higher."
The five W+TTube entries are posted at here.
