Meadow Ridge Park— Bellingham, WA
Meadow Ridge Park is a medium-density, 45-acre mixed use community with 369 units in a variety of housing types for a diverse range of buyers. Cottage houses, single family detached and attached homes, alley loaded homes, stacked flats, live/work units and commercial space are all focused around a community center, greens and open spaces. Trails connect these open spaces with the Baker Creek trail system and downtown Bellingham.
The plan represents feasibility work in support of a rezone of the property to allow small lot single family housing, attached homes and stacked flats. Weber Thompson provided the client with example images of building types proposed in the plan. This project is also participating in the USGBC's LEED for Neighborhood Development pilot program.
