Brian Steinburg LEED® AP
Brian Steinburg LEED AP, is a Senior Associate at Weber Thompson where he has been involved in the design, documentation and management of urban high-rise and mid-rise projects since 2000. Recently, Brian facilitated the South Lake Union Urban Design Framework charette process and managed the documentation of the charette results for the City of Seattle to use in its final publication. Brian is valued at Weber Thompson for his ability to manage large, complex, multi-year projects from pre-design to construction administration. He brings an acute attention to design, constructability and budget to develop elegant, constructible, and affordable solutions to complex design problems. His professional interests include the integration of housing, transit and urban design to create rich, exciting cities in which to live.
As a graduate from the University of Oregon, and a Washington native, Brian is highly involved in the community. He has been involved with the Seattle viaduct / waterfront debate for over 10 years, co-producing the film "Viaduct? What Viaduct?” which questioned the need to simply replace the structure without improving the urban environment, helping to form "Waterfront for All", a coalition of urban design, environment, alternate transportation, and arts advocates, and working on the Waterfront For All Design Collaborative. He is currently serving his second term as Waterfront Chair for Allied Arts. As Chair, Brian represents Allied Arts as a member of the Central Waterfront Committee and the Design Oversight Subcommittee.
At Weber Thompson, Brian is a member of the Green Team, an enthusiastic group of Weber Thompson employees who research sustainable design options, consult on green projects and conduct LEED exam study groups.
