
Myer Harrell AIA, LEED® AP BD+C
Recipient of the 2011 AIA Seattle Young Architect Award, Myer Harrell is an Associate and Project Architect at Weber Thompson working with the mid-rise team. In his work, Myer strives to balance vision and action, inspired by integrative design and systems thinking.
Myer was on the team that designed Eco-laboratory, a project that won first prize in the 2008 USGBC Natural Talent Design Competition; he was also a runner-up in Metropolis Magazine’s 2009 Next Generation Design Competition, and was featured in the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt 2010 Design Triennial.
At the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments, Myer has instructed graduate and undergraduate level architecture studios. He has been highly active in the community, locally serving on the Southwest Seattle Design Review Board, and as co-chair of the Seattle Emerging Professionals of the Cascadia Green Building Council. Nationally, Myer has been engaged by the US Green Building Council as a member of the Education Events Committee and as a regular volunteer with Historic Green, a grassroots rebuilding project in New Orleans
