Lanham Place (High Point Block 9) — Seattle, WA
Adjacent to West Seattle's new High Point Library, Lanham Place is a 1.7 acre neighborhood that steps up a sloping site, using tuck-in parking and upper decks to take advantage of city views. Working within the SHA's architectural guidelines, Weber Thompson designed the buildings in a Northwest Craftsman architecture style to create an interesting juxtaposition to the modern library. Lanham Place includes 34 two-bedroom, market-rate, 4-Star Built Green homes in 17 duplex homes planned to frame streets and central green space. Landscaping was utilized to define the transitions from private, to semi-private to public spaces and site engineering complied with SHA's innovative stormwater management strategy.
