Design Guidelines
Written in conjunction with the Yarrow Bay Group for Bridges, a planned community in Kent, WA, the design guidelines are meant to direct individual residential builders in the overall design of single-family detached homes and ensure consistency of the development with the overall vision and goals for the community. The first section of the book explains the design review procedures and submittal document requirements. The second section discusses architectural diversity and considerations for the builders that affect the overall character of the neighborhood. The third presents information on architectural elements for individual buildings, including massing, porches, colors, and doors and windows. The final section governs the landscaping of individual lots and the use of elements such as fences, paving and outdoor lighting.
