Crofton Springs Rowhouses – Issaquah, WA
Rowhouses pose a particular design challenge as the architect needs to bring light and a feeling of expansiveness to what is basically a long, narrow box. For the Crofton Springs Rowhouses, both 4-unit and 5-unit, Weber Thompson started with the vision of a large single family residence that had been converted into individual units, each with their own characteristic entrance. Flexible floorplans in each unit cater to a variety of lifestyles and allow light to penetrate the core. The end units feature large covered porches that extend the living space outside. An overall palette of rich materials and textures unite the building.
