The BOKA Kitchen + Bar, designed by Seattle's Mesher Shing, is part of Hotel 1000, which opened yesterday in Seattle. The 24-story hotel is at First and Madison. It has 120 guest rooms and 47 condos. All the condos have been sold. Owners start moving in next month.
Hotel 1000 is the first in Seattle to combine a hotel with condos, according to Brian Flaherty, the hotel's general manager.
It has a spa and fitness center, restaurant, four meeting rooms, an outdoor roof garden and a garden for residents. A virtual golf course simulates live golf at top international courses. Rooms have 40-inch LCD screens, MP3 and iPod docking stations and surround sound.
Weber + Thompson designed the building, condos and common spaces. Dawson Design Associates was interior designer for the hotel rooms. Graphic design is by Phinney/Bischoff Design House. Cary Kopczynski & Co. is the structural engineer.
The developer, 1000 First Avenue Properties LLC, was also the general contractor.
MTM Luxury Lodging will manage the property.
