Press Release: Two Weber Thompson projects receive awards at the 2019 Gold Nugget Awards

Judges for the 2019 Gold Nugget Awards have named two Weber Thompson projects as award winners in its 56th annual competition, which honors design and planning excellence and draws entries from throughout the United States and internationally. DATA 1’s Landscape received the Grand Award in the ‘Best Landscape Architecture for a Community’ category, and Arbora Court received a Merit Award in the ‘Best Affordable Housing Community – over 60 dwelling units per acre or more’ category. Leading Landscape Designs: The 2018 UW Out/in/Front Exhibit

On Tuesday January 23rd, the Weber Thompson Landscape Studio attended Out/in/Front : Landscape Leading. Hosted jointly by the University of Washington Department of Landscape Architecture and the UW/LA Professional Advisory Committee, Out/in/Front is a bi-annual event exhibiting the range of work presently underway in the Pacific Northwest. DATA 1 Takes Home NAIOP Night of the Stars award for Office Development of the Year


Weber Thompson’s most recently completed commercial office project, DATA 1, received the Office Development of the Year award at the NAIOP Night of the Stars ceremony on Friday, November 3rd 2017. In celebration of Earth Month, I want to take a minute to introduce the Weber Thompson SustainabiliTeam (WTST), our internal green team. Despite working in ‘Ecotopia’ (the Pacific Northwest), and despite our progress toward well-sited, energy-efficient, water-efficient, lower-toxicity and lower-resource buildings, now more than ever we need strategic thinking and additional effort to continually improve our project portfolio.
