Amli 535 – Seattle, WA
The design of AMLI 535 relies on creating a community in the emerging South Lake Union neighborhood by enhancing pedestrian connections and activating the street front with a colorful palette, a variety of materials and lively retail space. The 199-unit apartment building includes studios, one and two-bedrooms with nine-foot ceilings, two-story live/work spaces with street-level windows, and an expansive rooftop garden with outdoor entertainment facilities. The project received unanimous Design Review Board approval before construction began in 2005, and a new Seattle record for price per unit was set when the building sold in 2007.
