JefF Bates AIA
Design Principal Jeff Bates AIA believes that good design is possible at all scales and on all projects. Despite the challenges of money, schedule, and jurisdiction, by staying focused on design intent, and following through with ingenuity and resourcefulness, good design can be had on every project. At the end of the day, our role as architects is to be a champion of design while advancing the client’s goals.
For over 25 years Jeff has brought this personal philosophy to his work at several nationally-recognized firms. Large profile projects such as 2200 Westlake, Bellevue Park Hotel, 307 Westlake and the Duncan Place Condos have all benefitted from Jeff’s experience, enthusiasm and dedication to leveraging the creativity of all his team members for a greater end result.
Jeff’s rigorous design-based graduate work at Columbia University was preceded by a degree in Environmental Design, which put emphasis on the benefits of environmentally responsible architecture.
